Luta-Inyan Pinot Noir is a collaboration between Accent on Wine and Hyland Winery in Willamette Valley. After a long week in Willamette valley we met the people behind Hyland. We approached them to make a easy to drink beautiful Pinot that represents Oregon soils and clones. After a few months and trying a lot of wine we agreed on this cuvée. The result is what people feel is an outstanding Oregon Pinot Noir.
The name behind it comes from Lakota Tribe of South Dakota. Luta-is Red, and Inyan is the primordial stone spirit of Lakota and Dakota mythology. Inyan Mountain in the Black Hills of South Dakota is consider to be center of the universe to the Native people. Which represents the Red Jory soil that this Pinot Noir is growing in.
